The anatomy of a wheelie will change depending on the motorcycle you are using. But the basic principles remain the same. First, you need to understand that to maintain a perfect speed and controlled wheelie you will need to be at what we call the “balance point” position. Now every machine is a little different when reaching the balance point. A V-twin type motorcycle will need a much higher balance point compared to a sportbike because of its weight and low to the ground design.
