BMW’s latest creation blends the classic with the now, utilizing an updated version of their iconic Boxer platform.
With all of the components that clearly identify its classic heritage, the R18 is every bit a reality as much as it is a concept. With elements that include a cradle frame, exposed universal shaft, drop-shaped fuel tank, a black colorway presentation with hand-painted details, the R18 is a real throwback but graced with modern tech. The heart of the R18 is BMW’s new two-cylinder, 1800cc boxer engine, housed in glass bead blasted aluminum and equipped with Solex dual carburetors.
